A monthly meetup for everyone who considers themselves a creative. For hobbyists and professionals, everyone is welcome.

The idea is to create a community and safe space for creatives. Share ideas and struggles, inspire each other, and meet like minded people.

No agenda, no expectations, just a space to talk and have a good evening together.

The story behind "The Monthly Creative"

When I arrived in Vienna in 2024, I barely knew anyone. I wanted to become a photographer but didn’t know where to start. So I texted a bunch of photographers, asking if they wanted to meet me for a coffee so I could talk to them and learn from them. One girl replied. Dani. A super talented wedding photographer. She was also not that far into her business yet, but she had already passed through all the stages of where I was at that moment, and she helped me a lot. The best tip she gave me that day was to go check out the "Creative Therapy Session," a place for creatives to get together and just be, talk about whatever we wanted to, but it was not a networking event. It was a place to connect, spark ideas, and embrace that feeling of community and knowing you are not alone with your struggles. So I checked it out, and it was the best thing that happened to me in Vienna. It was once a month, and every single time I looked forward to it, feeling super sad whenever I missed it. I always loved being around other creatives, but somehow this was different. Whenever I left, I had a huge smile on my face and was filled with motivation and creative ideas that I wanted to bring to life.

But then I moved and left Vienna, seeking a life by the ocean. Even now, two years later, I sometimes still think about the Creative Therapy Session and the impact it had on me.

So when I got to Ericeira last October, this idea popped up. Why not build something similar here in town? Because Ericeira has a lot, but there is no space for creatives to meet and get together. At least not that I know of. So I was determined to give it a shot and just try. The sense of community here is already super strong anyway, and I want to give back what I received from all these people in the past.

I want to create a space for creatives to meet like-minded people, push each other with new ideas, talk about the real and honest struggles, and be able to be vulnerable, create connections not just for business but also as friends, and most importantly, remember why we chose this path in the first place.

So here it is: The Monthly Creative Ericeira, starting this month

This monthly meetup is for people who

• are struggling or feel stuck with a creative vision

• want to start creative projects with others

• want to connect with like minded people

• want to address hard topics like feeling like an imposter or never being good enough

• want a place to be accepted for who they are

• want to meet people who cheer them on instead of dragging them down
